Thursday Tea Break: Issue 7

Thursday Tea Break Header

Welcome to this week’s installment of Thursday Tea Break!

This is a fun, weekly series covering our get-togethers, what we are up to that week, and what books we are excited to get our hands on.

Tea of the Week

This week we tried a Honeybush tea from The Art of Tea.

Honeybush is similar to a Rooibos tea (red tea) in color and scent, but the flavor is a little bit sweeter, hence the honey in the name. This tea was a little sweet, smooth, and a bit nutty and benefited from a dollop of honey mixed in to enhance the sweetness.

Current Reads

Erin is reading The Siren by Kiera Cass

Lisa is reading Everyday Witchcraft by Deborah Blake and Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson

Amanda is reading A Man of Character by Margaret Locke and Rosemary’s Gravy by Melissa F. Miller

Project

This week we had our meeting over the weekend so that we could visit with family that had come into town for Easter. We also had Amanda’s niece/Erin’s cousin around and decided we should do a project that she could participate in too!

Bring out the egg coloring kits! None of us had colored eggs in a few years and it seemed like the perfect project for everyone to enjoy. We got a deluxe color kit and had so many different colors to choose from!

Someone was really excited to color eggs (it was Amanda). And we ended up with some really cool designs. It was really fun to watch everyone enjoy the project, even the parents got involved in color combinations and choices.

Here are a few of our favorite eggs.

Though this project had nothing to do with tea, or books for that matter, we still enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Waiting On Books

Erin is excited for The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi on April 26th.

Lisa is looking forward to getting The Official Essex Sisters Companion Guide by Eloisa James on May 24th.

Amanda can’t wait to get Tell The Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan on April 5th.
